Névache

Névache is a charming, small mountain village, in the heart of the high valley of Clarée.

An authentic and preserved village, a paradise for cyclists, fishermen or hikers, which hides unusual traditions : churches, chapels, murals, sundials...

With green lawns and soft water Clarée and its mountaintops harmoniously share this space.

On the road which leads you to Eterle of the Clarée, you will pass a succession of hamlets before entering "Val des Prés", the main town of the commune which was named in the middle ages "Navacheta" : "The little Névache".

This is also the village where Emilie Carles, the author of "Wild Herb Soups" was born.
